Foodservice and Hospitality Green Panel Discussion

Last month I had the honour of being part of a “Green Panel” hosted by Foodservice and Hospitality Magazine.   My colleagues and I (Tina Horsely, Aramark.  Chris Roberts, Sodexo.  Jay Gould, NY Fries/South St. Burgers and Paul Guardian, Delta Hotels) fielded questions from Editor/Publisher Rosanna Caira on such topics as local food, certifications, and the state of ‘sustainability’ in our industry.  The day provided an array of prospectives from some of Canada’s leading minds when it comes to sustainability and hospitality.  Kostuch Media also named the winners of it’s Green Leadership Awards at the event. Congratulations to both Rocky Mountain Flatbread and Delta Hotels for being named this years recipients.

Highlighted at the event was our (UGSRP) 2012 Survey on Sustainability and Innovation in Canadian Foodservice.  Look for coverage of the event in upcoming issues of Foodservice and Hospitality and Hotelier magazines.
